People often confuse business with what they sell. However, your business is also the way you speak, the way you show up, and the way you make people feel. Professionalism doesn’t mean formality. It doesn’t mean that you have to sound stiff, scripted, and disconnected. It’s because, if you do that, it would be like walking into your friend’s living room in a full suit when everyone else is in T-shirts. You might look superior, but you may not be positively remembered for long. The best brands sound like people who care, who listen, and who “get” the customers. In my educational leadership journey, too, I have seen mainly those brands succeed that spoke clearly and humanely. So, whether we are in conversation with a parent in a Tier-2 town or we are onboarding a new franchise partner, we strive to ensure that the real connection doesn’t hide behind professionalism, formality, or polish. We dress the words for the room we are in, i.e., our customer’s heart. |
